Oils, Fats & Greases (OFG’s) are a significant issue in wastewater treatment systems. It is important for the effective operation of any wastewater treatment system (including the pipework) to trap the OFG’s before they progress through the system. This is done by removing them before complete cooling and solidifying. The removal of OFG’s will reduce blockages, improve the performance of a wastewater treatment system and minimise pollution of groundwater and open waterways.
